It's hard to describe the impact the Kristie had on my life. We hung out almost every chance we got the summer after graduation. She was a great friend during a rough time in my life. Unfortunately my service to the Air Force pulled me away from Augusta and I lost that daily connection with her. She did come visit me after I got settled in at Robins Air Force Base (Warner Robins GA). We had front row seats to an REM concert in Macon.

Kristi was an amazing individual. She lived her life to the fullest every day and had a huge heart. She is greatly missed. We lost touch after high school but she always remained in my thoughts.

Kristi was one of my very good friends through both high school and college. She was a wonderful friend with a beautiful heart. Most importantly, Kristi was a survivor! She never once let CF hold her back. We had so very much fun together, and I miss her tremendously. For someone who was given to the age of around 5 to live, Kristi made every day of her life worthwhile. She remains a true inspiration, and I'm sure that everyone who knew her feels the same way!

I can remember sitting in Kristi's bedroom one night while she explained her CF to me and told me that's why she lived every day to the fullest possible. I can say that ever minute I spent with her was spent as she wished. I also remember being with her the night her grandparents were killed while driving to visit her. I have many precious memories for a friend so full of life that taught me so many great life lessons in our short time together. I've sat on the bench dedicated to her memory, behind her parents church, on Columbia Road and relished those fond memories.

I remember what a BIG Heart Kristie had. She always new how to make me laugh and enjoy every minute of life. She and I had lost touch for a long time. But, Robin and I were fortunate enough to find her again and renew our friendships. She was always very positive and very strong and I always admired that about her. When she died, a part of me died inside and I miss her tremendously. But,I have a lot of great memories that I will always treasure. If it wasn't for her, I would never have met my wonderful Husband (we were set up on a blind date and have been together ever since.)Kristie will always have a special place in my heart!

Kristi and I were very close in junior high and then reunited in 1997. We hung out every day for months and developed a wonderful friendship. I met her husband Bryan and really liked him. He was sooo supportive to Kristi and her illnesses. I remember helping her load a u-haul late one evening so she could move away. I was devistated. But she and I made the best of our departure by laughing and talking about our earlier adventures! She lived her life at full speed as if there would be no other day. Her favorite flower was the sunflower and for years I had a beautiful picture of one hanging in my living room over the loveseat. To sit here and say I am not shedding a tear would be a lie. But to read all the terrific things on this profile does bring smiles just as Kristi did!! Deanna Coley
